What is the best leash etc., to prevent my dog from pulling?

I have a very strong great American bulldog and I can not even walk your own! my have male friend to accompany her to me and even he finds it very difficult to do so. I've been using choker chains, the Halty and still enjoy one, Choker chains slip neck very easy, it would not stop trying to roll around the floor pulling Halty with legs, and she got rid of more than one time, the beam we buy 2 and broke the two, drawing his walks .. I know there are a lot of products out there for dogs that pull the leash, but I just do not know what is the best and will benefit me and my dog. I just recently heard about the lead slip and other training leads and collars, but I do not know anything about them and if they are the most suitable for my dog. Could you please help me with some advice or sites etc?
